Filters for future messages
Create a filter from a known sender or a tag, with an explicit mailbox and actions.
How this helps
An active filter can file your next invoices without repeating the same steps. You choose the sender, mailbox and actions; older mail remains a separate choice.
A practical example
Staging addition: you want to file invoices from fictif@example.test or deuxieme@example.test. Their addresses form an OR group, combined by AND with the Subject: invoice criterion. A message must come from one of those senders and contain “invoice” in its subject; you check the mailbox and actions before saving.
In practice
Staging addition, October 14, 2026: from Tags, open automatic filters, then New automatic filter. Criteria appear as chips: All of these criteria (AND) requires them together, while At least one of these criteria (OR) accepts an alternative. Known senders suggested from the mailbox’s local cache form an OR group of exact addresses. Changing the combination preserves subgroups; remove and add a criterion to edit it, or use Advanced mode.
For future messages, a preview is recommended before Save. If an existing group requires several exact senders simultaneously, only choosing Accept any of these addresses replaces those senders with an OR group; the other criteria are preserved. After assigning a tag, Also for future messages from this sender is an optional offer: check the complete address and mailbox, tick the confirmation, then save the filter.
The receipt date, rather than the date of import into Aerogram, determines whether a message is recent enough. A message received before the filter was created remains excluded even if imported later. Editing the filter preserves its original creation date.
Also apply to messages already present remains a separate option, unchecked by default, with a preview and confirmation of the actions. Pausing, reactivating or editing a filter does not start a general retroactive filing job or automatically process previously handled messages a second time.
The home keeps the name, summary, active or paused state and Edit. The editor’s optional activity view lets you inspect processing of older messages and errors. An uncertain result is not replayed: check it with your provider before resuming the other messages.
