Aerogram is a multi-account web mail client. It brings together your existing mailboxes into an interface accessible from your browser, with a unified inbox and the ability to view each account separately. It does not create an email address and does not replace the server that receives your mail.
For whom?
For people who follow several addresses: a personal mailbox, a professional address or different projects. For example, a freelancer can consult their Gmail account and the IMAP address of their activity without switching from one interface to another.
A common reception, separate accounts
The “All boxes” view brings together conversations from connected accounts. Their provenance remains visible and each box retains its files, its connection and its sending identity. You can limit the list to a single box at any time.
Reading together does not mean mixing senders. A response uses an authorized identity for the relevant account; the wording allows you to verify the shipping address before sending. Messages continue to go through Gmail or the configured SMTP server. Understanding the unified inbox.
Check if Aerogram is right for you
Gmail connects with OAuth. Other compatible boxes use IMAP to receive and SMTP to send. Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live and Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online have an OAuth connection with Microsoft Graph, when the instance administrator has configured it and your organization allows it. The importation of large boxes is gradual; local search depends on mail already downloaded. Read cache is not a complete backup of your remote mailbox.
The security relies in particular on two-factor authentication, encryption at rest and isolation of the HTML received. The server can decrypt the data to provide the service: this is not end-to-end encryption. Access remains a closed beta by invitation, without guarantee of place or deadline.
